Experience & Qualifications
I work with people on a variety of issues and welcome enquiries from everyone. Some of the areas I have a particular interest in include:
relationships (monogamous and non-monogamous; friends, family, partners and colleagues)
identity exploration (gender, sexuality, race, culture, heritage, neurodivergence, sense of self)
adult and childhood trauma (emotional neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, gaslighting)
life transitions (loss, parenthood, career change, health diagnoses)
I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, family dynamics, coping with stress and self-acceptance.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London and have done further workshops on topics including:
Working with bereavement and complex grief
Supporting autistic clients
Integrating creativity into your practice
Working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse
I’ve worked for over 15 years in the charity and voluntary sector in various roles, and have particular experience working with young people, refugees and asylum seekers, and the unhoused. I therefore have a distinct understanding of the challenges and pressures involved in this work. I have also supported grassroots community and activist groups with strategy development, understanding power dynamics in their groups, internal conflicts, wellbeing and burnout.
